Geo-Logic Associates, Inc. (GLA), a multi-disciplinary civil and environmental consulting firm with more than 300 professionals in 27 offices in the United States and an office in Peru, is currently seeking a full-time Principal Geologist/Hydrogeologist to provide leadership and technical support for solid waste, mining, and environmental remediation projects.

Experience:
The Principal Geologist/Hydrogeologist will have experience in the following:
- Managing a small office of professionals
- Developing and supervising a variety of hydrogeological, environmental, and/or geotechnical projects
- Developing business for the local office
- Interfacing with regulatory agencies and clients
- Managing the technical, regulatory, and budgetary aspects of projects
- Working with company management to grow local business
- Participating in business development and marketing endeavors
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree in geological sciences, earth sciences, geotechnical engineering or similar discipline
- Registration as a Professional Geologist in the office state
- A minimum of 20 years of experience providing geological or hydrogeological services including the following:
- Practical applications of hydrogeologic principles
- Groundwater well design, construction, and monitoring
- Environmental remediation
- Regulatory compliance
- Strong project management skills, writing proficiency, and oral communication
- Strong attention to detail; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and with a team of professionals
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and technical analytical software
- Be eligible to work in the United States
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree in geological science, earth science or geotechnical engineering.
- Work experience in the solid waste industry
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour annual HAZWOPER training
Candidate Must:
Candidate will be expected to work away from home periodically to supervise field work or attend meetings with company management, clients, or regulatory agencies. Candidate will occasionally visit or work at municipal solid waste disposal sites, hazardous waste sites, or mine sites. Employment is subject to a pre-employment physical examination, including drug screening.
