On August 31, the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) honored Doug Bartlett, RG, Senior Vice President, with its prestigious Martin Van Couvering Memorial Service to the Institute Award.

Over nearly four decades, Bartlett has established a distinguished career as a hydrogeologist, earning recognition for his expertise in groundwater modeling, hydrogeologic investigations, and mining-related hydrogeologic services. His technical excellence and commitment to the geosciences profession have made him a respected leader within the industry.

The Martin Van Couvering Memorial Service to the Institute Award recognizes its namesake, the first President of AIPG, and recipients’ exceptional dedication to AIPG through leadership, diplomacy, organizational excellence, and service to the profession.

Mr. Bartlett received the award during AIPG’s National Conference in Duluth, Minnesota. As the nation’s largest geoscience association, AIPG reserves this recognition for professionals whose contributions have had a lasting impact on the organization and its members.
