The June 2025 edition of Water Well Journal (WWJ) features GLA subject matter experts Russell Granfors, CSP, GLA’s Corporate Health and Safety Program Administrator, and Marvin Glotfelty, RG, Co-Founder, Principal Hydrogeologist of wholly owned subsidiary Clear Creek Associates.
Mr. Granfors was featured in WWJ Closeup discussing keys to a good safety program, overlooked regulations, safety resources, onboarding, common mistakes, and making safety tailgate talks more engaging.
Mr. Glotfelty, Clear Creek Co-Founder, and Principal Hydrogeologist authored the article “Extrapolation Traps with Water Wells: It’s important to not confuse actual measurements from projections.” He discusses the important difference between the two as data-estimation techniques, and provides examples that commonly occur in groundwater projects, at well drilling sites, in subsurface conditions, well designs, groundwater elevation contour maps.
WWJ has been recognized for more than 75 years as the leading industry resource for business owners in the water well industry. The monthly publication covers topics such as drilling techniques, pumping systems, well maintenance, water quality and treatment, and jobsite safety.
