The ideal candidate will:
- Work under the supervision of a State of California registered geotechnical engineer
- Perform and develop scopes for field and office tasks (technical and non-technical) and independent analysis
- Safely conduct and/or oversee field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support
- Coordinate tasks and various size projects with staff
- Prepare designs, reports and calculations on complex projects for review
We are looking for someone with the ability to provide quality technical support on commercial, municipal, transportation, energy and water projects. Field experience is preferred. Strong analytical skills are required in areas including:
- Soil and rock classification
- Slope stability analysis
- Earth retention systems
- Laboratory soil test procedures
- Shallow and deep foundation design
- Materials testing and engineering
- Soil improvement techniques
- Pavement design
Knowledge of infrastructure, drilling operations, and heavy civil project design and construction are preferred.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of Geotechnical Engineering field experience, such as logging of borings, test pits, mapping, slope monitoring
- B.S. in Civil Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering
- Knowledge of infrastructure, drilling operations, and heavy civil project design
- Geotechnical and materials testing and inspection experience a plus
- Must have a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
- Laboratory soils testing experience
- Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office, Including Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred
- Drafting experience a plus (CADD, Adobe Illustrator, gINT, etc.)
- Working knowledge of geotechnical software and analysis programs
- Position will require the candidate to adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized, and have a keen sense of detail
- Candidate must be willing to work in addition to a standard 40-hour work week when needed, including out-of-town assignments on occasion
Preferred Qualifications:
- California experience
- OSHA 40-hour training
- EIT

- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
Pay range:$75,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience
