GLA is thrilled to announce the successful completion of yet another heap leach injection project in one of the largest gold mines in Cajamarca, Peru. The success is largely due to the collaborative effort between GLA and its subsidiary Geo-Logic Perú. Our client was able to recover a significant amount of gold and silver beyond what would have been obtained through traditional surface leaching.

During the two-year enhanced metal recovery (EMR) project, GLA performed slope stability evaluations, well engineering, drilling supervision, and instrumentation controls, applying our expertise in the recovery of gold and silver through low- and high-pressure injections of ore located on mature leach pads. The injection process has now become part of the mine’s standard operations.

This success was a major factor in GLA’s ranking on this year’s Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 225 International Design Firms list.
