GLA is excited to attend the 2026 Pacific Section American Association of Petroleum Geologists (PSAAPG)/Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Western Regional Joint Meeting, taking place April 12–16, 2026, in Bakersfield, California. Centered on the theme “Reimagining the Subsurface Energy Resources for a Prosperous Tomorrow,” the conference brings together geoscientists, engineers, and industry leaders to explore advancements in geothermal energy, carbon capture, hydrogen, and evolving subsurface technologies. Senior Geologist Dr. Lisa Alpert will be moderating the panel session: New Opportunities from Old Fields.
This premier regional event highlights the critical role of integrated geoscience in advancing both conventional and emerging energy solutions. GLA is proud to engage with peers and clients at the forefront of capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) and carbon capture and storage (CCS)—sharing technical insight, strengthening partnerships, and contributing to the responsible development of subsurface resources across the West.
