Dr. Neven Matasovic, PE, will be a featured speaker at the CETCO GCL University: Mining and Heap Leach Pads workshop on September 30, 2026, in Reno, Nevada. This event will bring together leading industry experts to explore the latest research, design practices, and innovations related to mining facilities, heap leach pads, and tailings containment.
Dr. Matasovic will join a distinguished panel of technical specialists sharing insights on state-of-the-art heap leach pile design and stability assessment, use of geosynthetics in mining applications, and evaluation of internal and interface shear strength properties of GCL. His presentation will include a project case study that demonstrates the success of the innovative heap leach injection leaching technology that Geo-Logic applied at a gold mine in Peru.
For more than 15 years, Geo-Logic has used heap leach injection (also known as enhanced metal recovery [EMR]) to help mining clients access previously unrecoverable gold, silver, and copper.
