Geo-Logic Associates (GLA) is a privately-held, multidisciplinary, geologic, geotechnical, hydrogeologic, civil, and environmental consulting firm. Our highly experienced professionals manage projects through 28 US office locations and an office in Peru. GLA is currently seeking a part-time or full-time Staff Environmental Professional to provide support for environmental due diligence, site characterization, and environmental remediation projects.

Ideally, the applicant will have a well-rounded background in the earth sciences and geology and will be able to work collaboratively with GLA professionals across all offices and disciplines.
Key Responsibilities will Include:
- Coordinating and performing field investigation programs that frequently include management of subsurface exploration subcontractors, soil sample collection, borehole logging, monitoring well installation, groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, and subsurface characterization.
- Conducting field and report preparation activities relating to Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments,
- Routinely working with state regulatory oversight agencies across the country
- Assisting in the preparation of proposals,
- Ability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, site plans, and aerial maps, and
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, clients and employees
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
- Master’s Degree in relevant field preferred, but not mandatory
- Minimum of 5 years of experience is desired
- Knowledge of IEPA Site Remediation Program and Leaking Underground Storage Tank programs
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Comfort speaking with clients and regulators, and possession of strong presentation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Self-starter and problem solver
Candidate Must:
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Pass a pre-employment physical examination, including drug screening
